Parking Information

Pre-paid paved parking on campus is SOLD OUT.

If you’re planning to enjoy Eclipse Day at Saluki Stadium or have paid for a parking pass for Monday, we encourage you to arrive early if you want to park near the stadium. Parking opens at 6 a.m. Gates for the stadium show open at 11 a.m.

Additionally, you can visit the nearby Banterra Center and take in the Crossroads Art and Craft Fair and the Crossroads Astronomy, Science, and Technology Expo, which start at 9 a.m. If stadium parking fills up, people with passes will be directed to overflow lots and take a shuttle to the stadium or have the opportunity to walk.

Parking is available for those who purchased pre-paid passes. However, parking for vehicles that have not pre-paid for a pass (and wish to pay on-site) is limited. Employees and students who already have parking decals can park where their decals allow, with the exception of marked lots near the stadium and Banterra Center, the Communications Building, and Lesar Law Building.

For SIU employees and students:

 On April 8, most employees and students can park where they normally do or where their parking permit allows, except for designated lots near Saluki Stadium, Banterra Center, the Communications Building, and Lesar Law Building as listed above.

Parking Details

  • For general attendees on April 8, paved parking purchasers will first park in lots 56 and 18, then we will expand to additional lots. Staff and signage will guide you! Parking passes and detailed instructions were emailed to purchasers. Shuttles will be provided per the blue dots on the parking map OR people may walk.
  • Bus and RV parking is at the Safety Center parking lot. Parking passes and detailed instructions were emailed. Parking must have been purchased prior to April 8 to park in the bus and RV parking lot.
  • Vendors are being given parking passes to park on campus on April 8 in lot 47 – in most cases, this is given at set-up/check-in. Vendors do not need to purchase a pass.
  • VIP parking passes for Suite holders is in lots 89 and 48. Parking passes and detailed instructions were emailed.
  • Lincoln Drive from Douglas Drive to Travel Service Drive will be restricted to traffic, as will Douglas Drive from Saluki Drive to Lincoln Drive starting at 6am on Monday, April 8.
  • Same day paid-parking is in lot 59 and attendees will be shuttled to Saluki Stadium and the Eclipse events area. This is $40 and cash ONLY.
